A year on, and another win for Padraig Harrington at the Open Championship at Royal Birkdale has cost Ireland's biggest bookmaker almost two millions Euros! Padraig Harrington retained his title and the coveted Claret Jug.
Paddy Power was feeling the pinch for the second year running with patriotic Irish punters backing the Dubliner all weekend long resulting in a payout of over €2 million!
Paddy said, "It feels like we've dodged a bullet. Once again the Harrington punters have taken our pants down but thanks to the wrist injury doubts they've left our underwear on!"
