Rory McIlroy has another early lead at a major championship, after he shot an impressive 7-under 65 on Thursday to lead the Masters after round 1.

Alvaro Quiros came home strongly late on to also be -7, and former PGA champion Y.E. Yang was closest at -5 to McIlroy and Quiros at the end of the day.

Matt Kuchar & K.J. Choi shot 68 scores (-4), while five other players were at 69: Sergio Garcia, Charl Schwartzel, Brandt Snedeker, Trevor Immelman and Ross Fisher.

Tiger Woods wasn't anywhere near the lead, but at least he wasn't totally out of it. Woods is currently in the longest winless streak of his career, he made a long putt at No. 14, lipped out several others and finished with a 71.
