It’s the most wonderful time of year again, NCAA football bowl season, and college football’s finest are coming up with their best ways of striking it rich in the hardware department before programs retire for the offseason.
Kicking the festivities off are Nevada and Arizona in the Gildan New Mexico Bowl this Saturday.

Although the early sportsbook odds are heavily in Arizona’s favor (with a 9.5-point spread), the Nevada Wolf Pack generated enough momentum in the first half of the season to turn some heads. Whether they can capitalize on that, as opposed to the 1-4 finish they ended with, is what will determine how well balanced the matchup is come the weekend.
The Arizona Wildcats, in contrast, were more consistent playing in the Pac-12, and Arizona did manage to pick on the #9 ranked USC Trojans amid the Trojans infamous free fall. That win, along with another against #18 Oklahoma State and a 7-5 record overall, tilts the scales in Arizona’s favor heading into the matchup.
